Upright vs. Handheld: Which Dustpan?

Upright (stand-up) dustpans have a long handle — often with wheels — so workers sweep debris in and lift the pan to empty it without bending, reducing back strain over a shift and speeding up large-area cleanup. Handheld dustpans are compact and economical, ideal for tight spaces, detail work, and spot cleanups where a full-size pan isn't needed. Most facilities keep both: an upright pan for routine floor work and a hand pan for quick touch-ups.
